Good Morning Quarantine

To avoid getting stir-crazy while following the stay-at-home order, I started a live, daily talk show.

As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my freelance work was drying up and I was also stuck at home. I love being busy so in order to create some structure in my day, I started a morning talk show called “Good Morning Quarantine.”

Broadcast live on Facebook, six days a week, my wife and I chat about the mundane yet thrilling aspects of our new quarantined life. We track the sprouting of our vegetable garden, speculate on weird things we’ve found left outside our house, offer book recommendations and dress up for a Spirit Week of our own invention.

While the show initially seemed like a fun idea, it quickly became a vital way to stay connected with friends and family. Our viewers started sending in photos of their gardens and pets and Spirit Week costumes. Soon, Good Morning Quarantine shifted from something resembling a talk show to something closer to a communal coffee chat with friends.

In honor of our 50th episode, we compiled some of our favorite moments from the run of the show.
