Boaz Goes Dutch

After moving to the Netherlands, I reached out to RTL (one of big TV networks) and asked if they might have a need for a friendly, non-Dutch-speaking correspondent.

They were intrigued and after a few weeks of conversation, we created a segment called 'Boaz Goes Dutch.' Every month I would learn something new about Dutch society and culture. Scroll down to watch a few episodes.

Since it rains almost daily in the Netherlands, the Dutch have a very special relationship with their weather apps. I met up with a meteorologist from one of the most popular weather apps to learn more. Also, in this episode they made me wear a v-neck shirt, which made me a bit uncomfortable. Can you tell?

In this episode, I headed down to The Hague to learn about a celebratory Dutch holiday that’s all about budgeting.

America may have Hollywood but the Dutch have their very own entertainment epicenter located just a few kilometers outside of Amsterdam. I tagged along for a tour and a lesson on the history of Dutch television.
