Beer, Cheese & Chocolate

What does an ale sound like? What would a block of parmesan say? Does a bar of chocolate have a sense of humor?

I’ve been lucky enough to give voices to an array of delicious products. While working at The Great Society, our client pFriem Family Brewers started bottling their beers.

I was tasked with taking their playful brand voice and bringing it to their bottles. I quickly learned that there's no room for verbosity on a label but, often, there is room for a pun.

Another client of The Great Society, Sartori Cheese, regularly released limited edition wedges of their specialty BellaVitano. My job was to condense all the rich, complex and storied flavors of the cheese into a short sentence or two.

I also worked with the folks at Sockeye when they updated the branding for Moonstruck Chocolate, a beloved Portland chocolate brand. We worked together to fine tune their new voice and write informational and enlightening label copy.
